Cris Bartual and Jorge Alamar are two emerging talents in the field of photography in Spain. We had met at some events where we coincided. They came to me with a great challenge: to give physical form to a photographic project with a very complex theme, as they were archive photographs they had rescued to then combine them with each other using AI, and thus generate new images to reflect on truth and new challenges we face.

There were several challenges, and luckily they gave me complete freedom to tackle them:

Creating an editorial support with a very unusual format for photographs.
A complex underlying concept that needed to be graphically represented.
Ending with a project that was desirable and understandable for its target audience.

What did we come up with?
We realized that there was a very clear pattern, which was that they had combined the photographs in pairs using AI, so the final solution focused on this resource to convey the idea.

Together with our trusted printer, we made a thousand tests and finally achieved a design that was as economical as possible but, through a creative format, solved all those challenges.
